Wednesday, April 10, 2007 concerned members of the Detective, Security, Alarm,
Locksmith, Armored Car Associations and Member Companies met with ADSAI
Lobbyist Dick Lochart to develop an effective action plan to defeat HB 750
at the offices of Titan Security.
HB 750 . approved by A House committee includes an income tax increase and
extends the sales tax to 21 categories of service providers. including those
listed below.
Security Guards and Patrol Services, Alarm Systems, Locksmiths and Armored
Car Services

NOTE: Be aware that if the State Sales Tax is extended to these services,
home rule cities (those over 25,000 population), Cook County and the RTA
will likely add their sales taxes as well. You would be looking at a total
tax of 9%!
